Its sure sounds fun and it is, let’s start by defining what gamification is. As the name suggests, it’s the use of games to increase motivation and encourage users to solve problems. When companies realised this, they began to use it on their employees.

Gamification refers to the implementation of various game principles, elements, and techniques into non-game activities. One great example is the Duolingo app, which helps you learn a new language, more you practise and get higher scores, the more your level goes up, or earning points in the Starbucks app it’s all basically a game.

Digital transformation is about using digital technology in all areas of an organisation nowadays even the smallest company uses digital technology.

But why it is a big thing?

It basically changes how the company works and how it delivers value to customers, especially with the new generations growing up with technology they are used to looking at everything online this means, that for companies to get new customers, they need to keep up with the new technologies.

This big change involves using digital tools, processes, and strategies to make operations easier, improve customer experiences and encourage innovation. The biggest example of this is something everyone can relate to; When COVID-19 struck everyone in the earth was forced to work from home. While this was difficult for some, most businesses were able to adjust very successfully thanks to the digital transition. It was good for the companies and the employees kept socialising which was good for their mental health.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are often seen as two different things, but they go hand in hand. Companies, big and small, use both technologies to make things more efficient and to come up with new ideas. AI is used for a lot of different things, while ML is a subset of AI that makes it even more useful. Most companies use Artifical Intelligence and Machine Learning for customer strategies, using them to keep customers happy and to attract new ones through personalised experiences and predictive analytics.

The word “quantum” is one that most people are familiar with, perhaps from movies or TV shows, especially science fiction movies. Even if we don’t know what it really means, we’ve probably heard it. This quantum technology and the internet sound like something out of the movies. In physics, a quantum is the minimum amount of any physical entity involved in an interaction. It’s the smallest state of matter.

The idea behind the quantum internet isn’t to replace the internet we know today but to create a new network that is much faster and can solve specific problems such as analysing financial risk, encrypting data, and examining the properties of materials.

The Internet of Things, or IoT, is basically a network of connected devices and technologies that enable communication between devices and the cloud, and between devices themselves. Many companies we all know use this, for example Amazon. We use it ourselves; Bluetooth is part of it, and it even means that everyday devices such as toothbrushes, vacuum cleaners, cars, and machines can use sensors to collect data and respond to users in an intelligent way. The main goal is to connect any device and object to the internet, allowing them to collect and share information, and to be remotely monitored and controlled.

First, let’s look at what CRM stands for. It’s an abbreviation that means Customer Relationship Management. It’s a software that helps companies manage their interactions with existing and potential customers. This technology is designed to help companies manage all of their interactions with current and potential customers.

The goal is to improve relationships and grow the business. The software is a digital, centralised platform that organises, automates, and synchronises all customer-facing activities. This includes recording customer communications and conversations, managing leads and team tasks, creating performance reports, and more. Also, in the past years with advancement in technology AI is a big help to CRM.

As you can see from the name, Big Data is a very large database. It watches us just like Big Brother in George Orwell’s novel 1984.

All electronic devices we use contain some form of coding, and Big Data refers to extremely large and diverse collections of data that continue to grow exponentially over time. These datasets are so large and complex in volume, velocity, and variety that traditional data management systems cannot store, process, and analyse them. We’ve already talked about machine learning in another article, but it’s worth mentioning again because it’s a great example of how big data is used in many different places.
